Imagine Ochako as Izuku's most supportive wingwoman who enthusiastically helps Izuku with his attempts to get noticed by Shouto.

So, when nothing seems to be working, it's Ochako who gets offended on Izuku's behalf. Like, how dare Shouto not notice Izuku's sheer cuteness. It's even more frustrating because she had been pretty sure that Izuku's crush is reciprocated - so why isn't Shouto asking Izuku out on a date yet?!

(In actual fact, Shouto is immensely struggling not to combust anytime Midoriya so much as breathes in his direction).

Ochako getting so frustrated that she confronts Shouto about it.

"Why don't you like Deku-kun?"

"What?"

"Why aren't you asking him out? Don't you like him? Is he not cute enough for you? Not hot enough? He wore THE SHORTS for you--"

It's by far the biggest one I've ever done, including meltdowns because of running our of the backround colour and having to change that, and gosh it took long, but the motive is just so adorable, I had to do it!

I like to think that Shoto’s early-mid 20s are a very healing time for him in life. He’s been actively working through his family trauma for years now, he’s becoming the man he’s always wanted to be, he has loving friends in his corner, etc.

This means he’s also had the chance to really learn about himself and what he likes through trying out various hobbies and all that. He also has become obsessed with cartoons.

Growing up he was never able to just be a kid and enjoy things like TV shows. In high school everyone would always hit him with the “what do you mean you never watched [insert popular cartoon]? omg that was like my whole childhood!” in the rare occasions him and his classmates had downtime and could just chat about random stuff. And it just made him feel so left out of conversations even if he didn’t show it :( he always felt like he was missing out on so much thanks to his dad fucking up his entire childhood.

So now as an adult he’s begun taking the steps to heal that inner child in him that always longed for a normal childhood. Series like Adventure Time and Steven Universe slowly become his favorites. He begins collecting merch from the series rather is be small plushies for his bedroom or pajama pants with characters he admires. He plans TV/movie nights with his friends too (Sero, Denki, and Midoriya always come and offer recommendations as fellow cartoon lovers). And it’s just another way Shoto is healing as he’s finally able to connect with his friends in a way he dreamed of growing up. One year for his birthday his friends surprise him with an Adventure Time themed party and it was like the best day of his life Shoto you deserve all the happiness adulthood is finally letting you have

I dunno how it happened but during the process of writing the SGDK Canon Divergence Series I'm currently working on, somehow this ship idea just kinda... happened. Now I love them together! I'm even adding Mawata to the Dekusquad she's so freaking cute!!! I'm having a lot of fun tinkering with/expanding upon everyone's backstories in this series, hehe! 😊😊😊

I love their character designs too and think they'd look cute together looks wise. Plus, from what I've seen of Shoto's personality and the little we've been given of Mawata's, I can envision them really vibing and having a gentle, supportive, and truly loving relationship.

Idea I just had

Shoto has a cute handwriting

Like, he starts experimenting with it and ends up being quite cute, neat and very readable

When his friends notice (specially the girls) they gift him a bunch of nice pens and highlighters and now his whole notebook is very bright and cute

I imagine he would find out about extremely cute but absolutely unreadable handwriting and try it for a while, to the agony of the professors that have to read his homework
